Miss Sixty Pocket Square

by Abigail

$42.00

This artwork was created by Abigail who began at Lalela in primary school and has continued into high school. Abigail is fun, smart, and adored by her friends and peers. She loves drama and writing stories and would like to become a teacher when she graduates. Abigail impressed us all when she took on the role of stage director in our Lalela Shakespeare production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. We are so excited to share her artwork with the world, it is as playful and lovely as she is.

The artwork for this pocket square was created during the Rainbow Nation Curriculum, where artists explored their own heritage while learning more about the different cultural groups that make up South Africa. Artists see the world as one nation in which they belong and regard all people from all races, gender and communities as equal and connected. This teaches our learners to be more positive toward themselves and more open to other cultures which in turn creates better relationships at school and in their communities.
